Quality standards
Every template and article on this site is designed, built and edited by me — Elliot Li. These are the rules I hold myself to, so you know exactly what a recommendation here is worth.
How templates are built
Templates start from a real brief for a specific type of business — a steakhouse, a drywall contractor, a dietitian, a florist. I design the pages and the content model together, build the CMS wiring for real rather than decoratively, and only then ship.
How I test before release
- Every page is checked across desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoints.
- CMS-driven templates are tested with empty, partial and long content.
- Page performance, semantic markup and accessibility are reviewed before launch.
- Templates are only published once the content editing flow works without code.
How reviews and rankings work
Comparison articles and roundups reflect hands-on use and the official documentation I checked while writing. Scores are editorial judgement — not paid placements — weighted toward features, ease of use and value. Where I list a tool or product I do not own, I say so, and I link to the source.
Independence & disclosure
No vendor pays for a position in a list or a better score. If a link is ever an affiliate link, it will be labelled as one. Template recommendations point at my own work, which is disclosed plainly across the site.
Updates & corrections
Templates are revised as Framer and Astro evolve. Articles carry a publish and update date; substantive edits bump the date, cosmetic ones do not. Spotted something out of date or wrong? Write to contact@elliotli.dev and I'll correct it.

- Are your template rankings and reviews paid?
- No. Rankings and reviews reflect hands-on use and the official documentation I checked when writing — there are no paid placements, and no vendor pays for a position.
- Do you test templates before you publish them?
- Yes. Every template is built and checked across desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoints, with attention to CMS wiring, accessibility and page performance, before it ships.
- How often are templates and articles updated?
- Templates are revised as Framer and Astro evolve, and comparison articles carry a publish and update date. Substantive edits bump the date; cosmetic ones do not.
- Do you use AI to write your content?
- I use AI as a research aid, but every article and template is written, built and edited by me — Elliot Li. AI never makes the final call on a recommendation.
