Comparison
Framer costs $0, $10, or $30 per month, per site. Free publishes on a subdomain. Basic adds a custom domain, 2 CMS collections, and 50 GB of bandwidth. Pro adds redirects, staging, and 10 collections. All billed yearly, as of October 2026.
That is the whole headline. This guide covers the details that decide your plan — limits, seats, and add-ons — and which one a real site actually needs.
The four plans
| Plan | Price (yearly billing) | CMS | Bandwidth | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | For exploring | 1 GB | Learning, prototypes |
| Basic | $10/month | 2 collections | 50 GB | Personal sites |
| Pro | $30/month | 10 collections | 100 GB | Professional sites |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Mission-critical sites |
Every paid plan includes a custom domain, built-in SEO, and a global CDN. Pro adds site redirects, a staging environment, and branching with previews — the features that matter when you are replacing an existing site or working with a team.
One honest note on the free plan: it is designed for non-commercial use. You can build anything, but the site publishes on a framer.website subdomain. There is more on that in whether the free plan is enough.
What actually decides your plan
Three questions, in order:
- Do you need a custom domain? Yes means paid. This ends the conversation for most business sites.
- Do you need redirects or staging? Yes means Pro. Migrations and serious SEO work need redirects.
- How much content and traffic? Basic carries 2 CMS collections and 50 GB of bandwidth. A content-driven site wants Pro’s 10 collections and 100 GB.
Most freelancers land on Basic for personal sites and Pro for client or professional work. That split is deliberate on Framer’s part, and it is fair.
The limits that bite — and the overages
Every plan has caps, and every cap can be raised:
- Pages: 30 on Basic, 150 on Pro. Beyond that, $20 per additional 100 pages.
- CMS collections: 2 on Basic, 10 on Pro. Beyond that, $40 per additional 10 collections.
- CMS items: 1,000 on Basic, 2,500 on Pro. Beyond that, $20 per additional 10,000 items.
- Bandwidth: 50 GB on Basic, 100 GB on Pro. Beyond that, $40 per additional 100 GB.
For context, a small business site rarely passes 10 GB of bandwidth in a month. These caps are real, but they are not the thing that should decide your plan.
Editors and seats
Framer bills collaboration per person:
- Viewers — free. They can see and comment.
- Content editors — $10/month. They update CMS, localization, and on-page copy.
- Editors — $20/month. They design, edit, and publish.
- Pro seats — up to 10. Enterprise is unlimited.
If you build client sites, know this: Framer’s Expert program gives free editor access on client projects, and handoffs can earn revenue. That is covered in building client websites with Framer.
The add-ons
Three add-ons exist, and all are optional:
- Localization — $20 per locale, up to 20 locales, with AI-assisted translation.
- Convert — $50 per 500,000 events for A/B testing, funnels, and triggers.
- Advanced hosting — multiple sites and custom headers under one domain.
None of them change the core answer. A normal marketing site runs on Basic or Pro with no add-ons at all.
What a typical site needs
- A portfolio on a subdomain → Free.
- A personal site with your own domain → Basic, $10/month.
- A business site with a blog and redirects → Pro, $30/month.
- A client site with collaborators → Pro, plus seats as needed.
If your site sells products or needs logins, the plan is not the problem — the platform is. The honest list of what Framer cannot do is in Framer limitations, and the wider verdict is in the Framer review.
The bottom line
Framer’s pricing is simple by design: two real plans, one free tier for learning, and optional add-ons. Budget $10/month for a personal site and $30/month for a professional one, both billed yearly. Check the official pricing page before you buy — plans change, and this page carries a checked date for a reason.
